There are apples, and there are Apple's widely known Apple iPhone. If you think you had a bad day, consider the situation this poor woman had from Brisbane, Australia had when she found out there were actual apples inside her "brand new" Apple iPhone boxes.
The 21-year-old woman placed a wanted ad for Apple iPhones on Gumtree, a UK classified site that is similar to the U.S', Craigslist. Upon posting, she was contacted by a woman regarding her listing and wanted to meet up at a McDonalds parking lot to make the transaction.
During the transaction, cash and product were exchanged but the buyer did not consider to examine the phones prior to leaving. As she came home, she finally opens both iPhone boxes to only discover actual apples inside.
The Senior Constable from the Upper M. Gravatt Crime Prevention Unit in Australia, Jess Hopkins told the Herald Sun to be wary about buying online.
"If something seems too good to be true, it probably is."
"It's really just common sense."
