BlackBerry CEO Thorsten Heins first announced the news that the BlackBerry Messenger would be making its way towards Android and iOS, he said that this messenger would be released in this summer. But, after passing time of that announcement, BlackBerry did not say any other words from the app except to deny a rumor that this app would be released or not on June 27th. Now, we are feeling that BBM may would not arrive until September.
As news comes from Sunil Lalvani, the managing director of BlackBerry in India, who said the lines and updated status as:
The messenger service is coming to Android this summer. But you know the summer as per North America, where the summer remains till September.
Lalvani also said that this app would be released before the September ends, so it would be really a true news that it will be released in "summer". As the summer ends on September 21st, and it would seem that BlackBerry is going to push this deadline to the limit.
One thing which you should notice that Lalvani did not mention anything about the iOS app. But we are assuming that the iOS version will also come in market same time as the Android app. Or, at least log time we have not hear any new news to the contrary.
He didn't give any more details about app, and it's worth noting that this summer news is officially all of a week old.
As all of us see that Blackberry Canada page are coming up with sign up option for notification as whenever this app gets launched in iOS & Android for information. For all those who are signup or want to sign up can provide their email address in their form and Blackberry will definitely inform them when it is available.
